Design Stack

My career started in graphic design. I am very comfortable creating high fidelity visual designs, mockups and assets for use in different contexts.
Experience

My experience is pretty broad, spanning 20+ years in multiple domains. I primarily started out as a Graphic Designer and gradually moved into UXD and frontend development as demand spiked in the early naughties.

I have been very fortunate to both work alongside and learn from talented practitioners and great clients. Many of whom still retain my services today.

After my 2 year stint as a principle WordPress developer at Nomensa.com, I have decided to specialise in delivering bespoke WordPress solutions.
Build Standards
1. WordPress coding standards
  I adhere to WordPress best practices and internationally recognised coding standards to ensure that everything I build is robust, documented and maintainable.
2. AA accessibility standards
  AA accessibility standards are incorporated into my development process from the start. I validate accessibility using both automated and manual testing techniques to deliver reliable results.
3. UX design principles
  I always follow universally recognised heuristic design patterns that drive efficiency, reduce cognitive load and provide great experiences for end users.
Project Management

I typically use Basecamp or Trello to manage the planning, tasks, and project milestones for any new build. You'll be able to checkin, ask questions and monitor build progress.
Communication

I am a clear, honest and direct communicator looking to empower your decision making at all times.

We'll have scheduled stand up's through the entire design and build lifecycle. I like to do this face-to-face where possible but more commonly I use Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or Google Meet.
